Selene Chong
Selene joined HSBC in 2001. With a background in structuring, she held various positions in the FX product line within Global Markets across London, New York and Hong Kong including Global Head of FX Options and APAC Head of FX & Commodities. She also held some management roles in Global Markets’ corporates sales team with focus on corporate risk solutions.
Since Aug 2020, Selene has taken a role in the equities business responsible for the asset class in Asia including cash execution services, equity derivatives, structured products, prime finance and exchanged traded derivatives. Selene is also a board member of Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA).
Selene joined HSBC in London after her studies in Canada. She is now a mother of two adorable sons, and a carer to her parents living in Hong Kong. She has been a proud co-sponsor of Ability HK since 2022, one of HSBC’s employee resource groups supporting members on all aspects of living and working with a disability, physical or mental health condition, and on being a carer and partnering with likeminded NGOs and charities in the community.
